Becoming Catholic

Are you interested in becoming Catholic?

Do you know someone who is?

We have a group of people that will begin meeting in September for RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). This group is for anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic Church and/or joining the Church. Whether you have been baptized or not, have had no religious formation or a good deal of formation, everyone is welcome. We would like to hear from you. If you know someone who is thinking about becoming Catholic, please encourage them to join us.

Father Richard's Teaching Masses

Over the last five weekends, Father Richard did a bit of teaching about the parts of the Mass at the Masses where I am scheduled to preside.  This was something he did with the children during a religious education Mass last Fall and since it was so well received it was suggested that he do a ‘teaching Mass’ for the whole parish.  The purpose of this teaching of the parts of the Mass is being presented as a way to help understand better what we are doing in this rather formal and complicated prayer that is the Mass.

The five sections of the text for the Teaching Mass is below. You can download it to keep for yourself.
