Schedules for 2018-2019
Are you interested in becoming Catholic?
Do you know someone who is?
We have a group of people that will begin meeting in September for RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). This group is for anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic Church and/or joining the Church. Whether you have been baptized or not, have had no religious formation or a good deal of formation, everyone is welcome. We would like to hear from you. If you know someone who is thinking about becoming Catholic, please encourage them to join us.
From Father Richard:
I am sure that it becomes difficult for members of the Church to stay engaged in the living out of the Good News of Jesus in our world and even in the Church. The shepherds of the Church have lost credibility in their charism of leadership and the voice of the Church has in many ways been compromised or silenced.
Yet now is our time to bring the light of the Gospel to shine on our world and even in our Church through the action and witness of our lives. Now is our time to be bearers of Good News.
Peace, Fr. Richard
Please Pray With Us:
For the Catholic Church at this time of scandal: for true repentance of those bishops and priests who have abused or neglected those entrusted to their care, and for healing, justice, and reconciliation for those who were abused physically and emotionally by priests and bishops.
From the Pope:
From the Archdiocese of Omaha:
From Fr. Mike Schmitz:
The sex abuse scandal is the worst thing Father Mike has ever heard of. Worse than the negative opinions it brings upon the priesthood (even though most priests did nothing wrong) are the innocent children who have to bear this devastating burden with them their entire lives.
