Women’s Ministry

This is an exciting time for women to be a vibrant part of our parish and community!

Martha and Mary Women’s Ministry

As they continued their journey he entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him. She had a sister named Mary [who] sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak. Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me.” The Lord said to her in reply, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.” ~ Luke 10: 38-42

The Martha and Mary Women’s Ministry Group is open to women of the parish of any age. We are dedicated to expressing love of the Christ through service to all God's children. The Society's primary focus is on three aspects of our humanness; Social, Spiritual and Service. We gather to socialize with other women in the parish, provide support, and help educate all Catholic women in spirituality and in service consistent with the teachings and tradition of the Catholic Church. Lord, Teach Me To Pray

Lord Teach Me To Prayer - Begins Wednesday, June 7th

"Lord, Teach Me To Pray" is a three-part prayer series for women and men rooted in Ignatian Spirituality with a daily commitment to prayer and Scripture reflection.  A women's 12-week program, Part 1: “Praying Christian Virtues,” will begin Wednesday June 7, at 9:45 AM in the downstairs ARS Room.  Small groups meet with two trained facilitators 1-2 hours once a week to pray, faith share, and learn how to deepen one’s prayer life.  Materials will be provided and a $20 donation is suggested.  For questions or to register, please contact Dorothy Slattery 402-651-8065; This email address is being protected from spambots.
