Teen Life Ministry for High School Students
Teen Life Ministry for all high school students meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm at Saint John Vianney in our Youth Room downstairs. Gatherings begin in September and go through April. At Teen Life, we share a snack, discuss issues, celebrate our faith, and have fun while introducing youth to the richness of our Catholic heritage. Teen Life is focused on bringing youth together in an atmosphere that is safe and comfortable. Through peer ministry, young people learn how our faith sheds light on our common joys and struggles. The curriculum revolves around topics that appeal to teens and that teen’s encounter.
Parents and Adults: HELP provide dinner for our TLM meetings on Wednesday nights. Sign up online here!
Teen Life Ministry is dedicated to fun, and the group hosts numerous social events: Trips to Kansas City, Volleyball, Hayrack Rides, and many other events, including a fun, fast paced game at every gathering. Our activities cover a broad range. Students from Millard and other schools gather to make friends, have fun, and share their faith. Bring your friends and find out what we are all about.
Along with our outings and camps, fun is built into every night. Learning about your faith, yourselves and others CAN and IS fun. Teen Life does not take place in a classroom setting, and is most always interactive. Join us for fun, and bring a friend. You’ll get to know lots of other young people that share your values, and want to learn more about each other.
Want to get involved? Some of our activities include: Religious Education Aides; Vacation Bible School helpers; Parish Festival; Service to Others; Eucharistic Ministers & Lectors; National Catholic Youth Conference ; National Speakers; Archdiocesan Youth Rally; Worlds of Fun Summer trip; Retreats; Joint experiences with other parishes; Teens Encounter Christ; Hayrack Ride; Movie nights; Summer Mission Trips; Local speakers; Large & small group discussions; Prayer experiences; Catholic Leadership Institute; Fun nights; Games; Relationships / Dating; Music, Media and Culture; Real Life Issues; Who is God & what does it all mean.
